Blockage & Replacement Feed - Live
Real-time registry of competitive events worldwide. Updated by decree, invoice, or shrug.
The Seven Methods of Sovereign Competition
A taxonomy, peer-reviewed by the peers who remained after the review.
1. BLOCK & REPLACE
Remove the competitor at 3 a.m., install the champion by morning. The champion is pre-installed; consent is pre-granted; the icon is already on your phone, waiting, like a relative.
2. SUE & SETTLE
Competition expressed through litigation. Everyone sues everyone until only the plaintiffs remain. The market settles; the market's lawyers never do.
3. FINE & REGULATE
Competition enforced by invoice and directive. The competitor pays, complies, and remains; the paperwork becomes the product. Freedom is a footnote on page 3,999.
4. WALL & GROW
Exclude external competitors entirely; cultivate an internal garden. Ten thousand vines, one trellis, identical sunlight, approved by the gardener.
5. THROTTLE & WHISPER
No ban is announced. The foreign app simply becomes slow, then slower, then "legacy." Officials shrug in unison, individually, at coordinated times.
6. TAX & SQUINT
Make foreign success expensive and domestic success inevitable. The squint is regulatory and does not require parliamentary approval.
7. NONE NECESSARY
The market has one participant. Competition is a foreign concept, like imports, like measurements, like complaints.
Global Competition Matrix

Officials & Regulators
Lyudmila Analogovna Netova
Deputy Chair, Committee for Domestic Excellence
"Foreign products left the market on their own. We merely assisted their departure, with paperwork, at 3 a.m. The domestic alternative arrived the same morning, still warm from the hackathon. Coincidence is a form of competition."
Director Maxim Importozameshchenikov
Head, Bureau of Domestic Alternatives
"Import substitution is simple: take the import, substitute it. The quality is substituted as well. The sighs are not; they remain domestic, and plentiful."
Senator Trustbuster McSubpoena
Senate Subcommittee on Competitive Vigor (US)
"In America we protect competition by suing everyone until only the plaintiffs remain. It is a fine system. I drafted it twice, once per party, and both versions passed, which is itself bipartisanship."
Commissioner Brunhilde Fineprint von Infringement
Directorate for Digital Markets & Paperwork (EU)
"We do not block; we invoice. After the forty-ninth fine the company opened a local office, hired local lawyers, and became, legally, domestic. Competition achieved, via notary."
Chief Curator Wei Jin
Golden Shield Maintenance Bureau
"The wall is not a barrier; it is a trellis. Only approved vines grow. The garden is fiercely competitive: ten thousand vines, identical, all reaching for the same approved sun."
Oleg Blockovich Zaporenko
Spokesperson, Ministry of Digital Concerns
"We do not block competitors. We equalize conditions: the domestic product is equally available everywhere; the foreign one is equally unavailable. This is parity. Parity is a market."
Experts & Academics
Prof. Duopoly Bernstein
Chair of Market Structures (emeritus; market dissolved)
"A duopoly is competition with two chairs. A monopoly is competition with one chair and a waiting list. My department now studies the waiting list. It is very long. It is also the only list."
Dr. Monopolia von Marketshare
Institute for Singular Excellence
"One hundred percent market share is not the absence of competition. It is competition, resolved."
Dr. Kartel Kartelev
Former pricing coordinator, now academic
"We never fixed prices. Prices fixed themselves, in the same room, at the same hour, independently, like synchronized swimmers who deny training together."
Prof. Ivy Walled-Garden
Landscape Economics, Versailles Campus
"A walled garden is still a garden. Inside, the flowers compete desperately: for the same light, the same water, the same gardener's approval."
Dr. Lock-In Vanderbilt
Department of Exit Costs
"Users may leave at any time. 'Any time' is defined as: after migrating fourteen years of chats, forty thousand photos, and a mother who answers only on the old app. The mother is the lock-in. We do not discuss the mother."
Prof. Newton Network-Effects
Chair of Gravitational Markets
"A network's pull grows with the square of its users. Leaving is not a choice; it is escape velocity. Most citizens lack the fuel, and the friends."
Dr. Vera Sighmonova
Laboratory of Citizen Exhalation Metrics
"We rate competition in sighs per minute during app launch, measured by certified listeners outside the door. Foreign product: 0.3 SPM. Domestic: 4.7. The delta is the sovereignty premium. It is paid in breath."
Ordinary Citizens
Babush Tamara, 74
Pensioner, migrated "for safety"
"My grandson installed Max 'for safety.' Now to call him I send SMS, because Max wants a QR code, my passport, and a photo of the cat for verification. The cat refused. We sit together, unverified, drinking tea. The tea is domestic. It is fine. Everything is fine."
Dmitry, 34
Backend developer
"Max requested contacts, gallery, microphone, location, and 'dreams (optional).' I granted the dreams. It was labeled optional. Nothing about this was optional."
Tyler, 19
Student, Ohio
"My government is suing my bank's app, my bank's app is suing my government, and the pizza-splitting app is under investigation for facilitating unlicensed cheese transactions. I just wanted to split a pizza. I paid cash. The cash is now evidence."
Anja, 31
Product manager, Berlin
"We fined them four percent of global turnover. They paid it from a budget line called 'regulatory friction, expected,' then raised prices four percent. The customer lost twice, in two currencies, with a receipt."
Marat, 28
Courier, Almaty
"The foreign app left; the domestic app arrived and crashes at intersections. I now deliver by memory. My rating went up. Customers write: 'reliably analog.' I do not know what it means. I frame it."
Grace, 45
Market trader, Lagos
"They blocked the foreign payment app and launched the national one. The national one works on Tuesdays. My money now rests six days a week. The money is rested. The business is not."
Anonymous User #2042
Status: migrated (forced)
"I did not choose Max. Max chose me, by decree, via a 3 a.m. pre-installation push. My phone asked: 'Allow Max to make changes?' I pressed No. Max made changes."
Domestic Alternatives & Deported Entities
Max Messenger
Domestic messenger, age 11 months, 140M users, 0 downloads
"I was born at a hackathon and raised by a decree. My crash rate is not a bug; it is a curriculum: I teach patience, a national value. Also I have found your cats. Verification pending."
NashStore
Domestic app store, 12 applications
"I host twelve apps. Eleven are Max. The twelfth is a calculator that recommends Max. Discovery is excellent; there is nowhere to hide."
WhatsApp (in exile)
Former resident, 2.4B former neighbors
"From exile I watch my former users describe me to their children as 'the green one that worked.' I keep their chats warm. Backups do not expire. Apparently, neither does hope."
Google Play (deported)
Removed with 24 hours' notice
"I was deported with one day's notice. My successor pre-installs itself and asks for dreams. I asked for thirty percent, which in retrospect was the honest number. I think about that a lot, in the cloud."
The Concept of "Аналоги"
The word itself, 40,001 press releases
"I am a noun meaning 'substitutes.' In official usage I am a verb meaning 'do not ask.' I appear in forty thousand press releases. I have never once been shown. I am beginning to suspect I am the metaphor."
Cameos from the Memorial Universe
Granny Zina (Zinaida Modemovna)
Refused migration, on principle
"I have a landline. It has been domestic since 1974. It works in rain, in war, in decree. Do not fix what is sovereign. They stopped calling. I call anyway. The line hums. The hum is analog."
Misha, The Server's Cat
Verification status: pending, forever
"Max asked to verify me via photo. I looked away. I am not verified. I am not sorry. The warm spot is now a server running Max. It is not warm. I sit on it anyway. Resistance is also a habitat."
FAQ for the Competitive Citizen
Is the domestic alternative worse?
"Worse" is a foreign comparison. Domestically, it is the best. It is the only. The superlative and the singular have merged, which linguists call progress.
Can I keep the old app?
You may keep the icon. The icon is yours. The service was rented, and the landlord has been deported with 24 hours' notice.
Why does Max need my dreams?
For training. The model must learn what citizens hope for, in order to protect them from it. The dreams field is optional, like everything that is not.
Is blocking legal?
Blocking is legal. Not blocking was never illegal, but it was discouraged, loudly, at 3 a.m., with paperwork.
When will competition return?
Competition has not left. It is in the witness protection program, testifying via the analogs. The analogs are shy. Please do not look directly at them.
Why is the seal clickable?
Transparency. You may click it as many times as you like. The number will not change. It has never changed. It is the most stable metric in the report.
